It all really fits into this world they built and nothing is out of place. The gameplay and atmosphere are some of the best I've encountered this year. But Mankind Divided is a full realization of their vision for a new Deus Ex and it really shines overall. You could tell they had to cut corners on certain aspects of the game. The gameplay and atmosphere are While I enjoyed the last game, Human Revolution, I felt that the developers didn't quite have the horsepower and technology available on Xbox 360 to really do what they wanted. Have fun doing something next to one for 5 minutes. Oh and the pedestrians repeat their same lines. But it's so graphically inconsistent I don't know how to diatribe it. I give this game 6/10 because I know it tried. This game is great until the glitches start happening at the worst moments, like trying to hack a drone before it spots you. I played it so much because I'm a huge Deus fan, but this is beyond acceptable. You can tell when it happens because the frames start dropping to a snail. At first I thought it was at certain times. And let me tell you, I have had to reset my Xbox at least 10 times due to it crashing. This game is great until the glitches start I have beaten the game 4 times now. This arcade-style mode dispenses with the story and character elements of the campaign and focuses on speedrunning and perfecting different levels.I have beaten the game 4 times now. The game utilizes the same hybrid first/third-person combat system seen in Human Revolution, with the camera moving to third-person whenever Jensen is pressed against cover. Due to their untested and unauthorized nature, the player must deactivate one of Jensen's original augmentations in order to use one of these. In addition to most of the augmentations from Human Revolution, several new "experimental" augmentations are available. These augmentations give Jensen abilities such as turning invisible, strength to lift heavy objects, and hacking into higher-level terminals. Various actions, such as completing quests, finding alternate routes, hacking terminals, and neutralizing enemies earn the player Praxis points, which they can use to activate Jensen's mechanical augmentations. This division is known as the "mechanical apartheid".Īs with the previous game, players will investigate the bombing by speaking to characters, exploring the environment, and completing missions however they choose. The world is heavily divided between those with augmentations and those who do not, with the latter fearing the former following the ending of the previous game. Set two years after the events of Human Revolution, Mankind Divided follows that game's protagonist, Adam Jensen, on a new adventure as he investigates a subway bombing in Prague. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the fourth main entry in the Deus Ex series, and the direct sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
